Lineage statement: INITIAL CAPTURE Reticulation data was captured by hand digitising hardcopy reticulation mapsheets placed on digitising tablets. DCDB was supplied in digital format from Department of Environment & Heritage. Control was established between the digital cadastre and the plotted cadastre on the hardcopy plans. In urban areas (including the Adelaide Metropolitan and all country towns), data was digitised from AMG 1:2500 water reticulation plans. In rural areas, data was accurately plotted onto 1:10000 AMG plots and then digitised. Data capture commenced on 1 December 1986 and was completed on 1 June 1992. DATA MAINTENANCE The database is continually updated using a combination of tablet and heads up digitising techniques.
