Service Description: The Priority Infrastructure Area within the Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) is a part of the MBRC Planning Scheme. An LGIP is that part of MBRC planning scheme that identifies the local government's plans for trunk infrastructure that are necessary to service urban development at the desired standard of service in a coordinated, efficient and financially sustainable manner. This planning is currently contained within Part 4 of the MBRC Planning Scheme.

MBRC Planning Scheme will help to respond to growth and development across the Moreton Bay Region. It is a statutory document regulating how land can be used and developed. The MBRC planning scheme replaces the three previous planning schemes created by the former Caboolture, Pine Rivers and Redcliffe councils.
