Service Description: Lakes: A naturally occurring body of mainly static water surrounded by land. Reservoirs: A body of water collected and stored behind a constructed barrier for some specific use (with the exception of Flood Irrigation Storage). Swamp (subset of AusHydro feature class "Flats"): Land which is so saturated with water that it is not suitable for agricultural or pastoral use and presents a barrier to free passage or Low lying land usually adjacent to lakes or watercourses, which is regularly covered with flood water for short periods.
